Can I wash my waterproof jacket? How?
Yes. In fact, washing it correctly helps maintain its performance and extend its lifespan. Always check the garment's inner label first, but as a general rule, we recommend closing all zippers and velcro. Xpore also recommends washing it separately and, if possible, inside a mesh laundry bag.
Machine wash on a delicate cycle at a low temperature, below 30°C, or hand wash if you prefer. Use a small amount of neutral liquid detergent or a specialized detergent for technical clothing, such as Nikwax. Do not use powder detergent, fabric softener, bleach, or harsh cleaning agents. Xpore also recommends rinsing twice and minimizing spinning.
To dry it, you can hang it in the shade or tumble dry at a low temperature, below 40°C. If you want to reactivate the water repellent treatment, once dry, you can put it in the dryer for 15 to 20 minutes on gentle heat. If you don't have a dryer, Xpore indicates that you can use a warm iron, without steam, with a cloth or towel between the garment and the iron.
If after washing, water no longer beads on the surface, it may be time to reapply a DWR treatment to restore the repellency of the outer fabric. Xpore indicates that this can be done with spray or wash-in products, always following the manufacturer's instructions for the product.
Do not dry clean the garment and do not wring it when hand washing. Xpore also recommends not soaking it and performing a deeper wash ideally at the end of the season, to help maintain its performance.
Can I wash my insulated jacket? How?
Yes, in fact, washing it thoroughly helps maintain its thermal capacity, volume, and lifespan. Before washing, close all zippers. We also recommend running an empty rinse cycle in the washing machine beforehand to remove any detergent or fabric softener residue that may be in the drum.
Wash it with a non-biological liquid detergent, pure soap, or a technical cleaner for this type of garment, and do not use fabric softener, as it can coat the synthetic filling and reduce its thermal efficiency. The wash cycle should be gentle and cold, at 30°C or less. If you don't have a washing machine, you can also hand wash it.
To dry it, we recommend laying it flat in the shade and moving it periodically to prevent the cell filling from clumping. If it does appear clumpy, once it's almost 100% dry, use a tumble dryer on a low setting, adding 3 clean tennis balls. This helps restore the loft of the filling and also reactivate the water-repellent finish if the garment has one.
Do not dry clean or iron it.
What payment methods do you accept? Can I pay in installments?
